    Could’ve got 90+ but I got 84 cause I did the correct calculations but wrote down a different number, my working outs are also correct but wrote it in the wrong place and from all that and I as I wrote this down I realized it’s all because of time, when low on time I tend to rush through and speedrun so remember this and keep telling yourself this, it is better to get the answers correct but not completing the test then completing the test but gets it all wrong, with enough practice overtime you’ll be able to think faster and more accurate I hope my experience would help you too

    This is one of my favorite videos. It lays out the course and is a Terrific Introduction to Anti-Boring Approach and Gretchen Wegner. Take her class! On June 6, 2024, I am finishing a 31 year adventure in California Public School Alternative Education; 27 years in Independent Study, teaching grades, k-8. Gretchen Wegner, Collaborative Community and the Anti-Boring approach changed my career. After taking the course and practicing in Community Lab, I felt more connected to students; I witnessed students more engaged. Students today watched a note taking video. They reported it was simple, straight forward and easy to understand. The strategic systemic modules starting with the Study Cycle are the key. The tools help learners find their own Agency. Now until the last day, I am sharing, proslytizing, selling to collegues, district as a whole the KEY to student improvement! The Learning Equation: "Variation + Repetition + Space Retrieval = You Can Learn Anything! I will be using Anti-Boring tools for my next adventure as I earn a Horticultural Therapy certificate. (I am really a gardening social worker). And of course, I will use Gretchen's Tools a Horticultural Therapuetic Practice. P.S. I am under the old plan of the Community Lab until November; Gretchen and Company taken the course to a new level. I need to adjust to retirement salary before purchasing someing else. I tutor IB students locally, and they have exactly the experience Susannah described. What i notice is that students are encouraged to have an enquiring mind, but they aren't taught how to fit all of that material into a 2 year period. It is one of the main reasons i felt a need to join your community, Gretchen. The two-year period is truly soul-destroying for so many of them. At that level there arent enough hours in the day to teach everything so it is critical they know specifically how to become independent learners.

    I think you should just prove that you can do it for yourself instead of others. If you prove it to yourself others will see regardless. I’m talking about being successful in college if you are a new college student or returning to school! Also to touch on your perfect topic and how that effects a lot of students now a days or has been. What’s the right way to approach something you know you have no experience in and will probably end up failing in? I will look that up myself.

    • @AntiBoringLab
      @AntiBoringLab 5 місяців тому

      I agree with you, Jonathan! The most important thing is to do it for yourself. In regards to your question, it makes me wonder about whether the thing that you have no experience in is something that you have a chance of succeeding at overtime… Failure isn’t necessarily a bad thing if you know how to learn from your mistakes and try again. Are you someone who can learn from your mistakes? Are you someone who can keep yourself fairly calm even when you fail, and comfort yourself, telling yourself to keep trying?

    • @jonathan1414
      @jonathan1414 5 місяців тому

      I am someone who can learn from my mistakes. I think keeping myself calm when I fail is a tough one. What do you think? Can’t fail too much that will just drop your motivation. Fail but fail with everything you got. Like you fully prepared for battle, but something didn’t go as planned. Go back to the drawing bored and tweak what you think went wrong.
